A superb ceramic vase produced by the Swedish manufacturer Gustavsberg, signed by the studio of Wilhelm Kåge.
This piece features a sculptural, organic form, enlivened by a spiral relief decoration characteristic of mid-20th-century Scandinavian modernist design.
The deep blue glaze, richly nuanced and subtly speckled, creates delicate plays of light and highlights the craftsmanship of the material.
The base bears the "Gustavesberg Sweden" stamp as well as the Kåge studio mark.
