Expressionist oil painting by Swedish painter Gunnar Ekdahl (1907-1995). Painted by the artist in 1943. The painting is hand signed and dated in the lower left corner. The painting is made in oil on canvas. In the original cover.
Fritz Gunnar Adolv Ekdahl, born December 4, 1907 in Malmö, died in 1995, was a Swedish artist.
Ekdahl studied at the Skåne School of Painting in Malmö 1931-1932 in Copenhagen 1933 and during study trips, incl. to Italy, France, Belgium and Spain. He exhibited separately in various places in Skåne several times, and from 1939 he took part in exhibitions of the Skåne Art Association. His art consists of still lifes, figurines and oil, watercolor, pastel and gouache landscapes.
