This vintage Scandinavian ceiling lamp from the 1970s combines a sleek wooden housing with a decorative metal grid. The design is characteristic of lighting from this period, where warm materials and geometric patterns take center stage.
Probably produced by the brand Alda or Holger Johansson for Westal.
The lamp is crafted with a square wooden frame featuring visible wood joints at the corners. The front consists of a gold-colored metal grid with a repeating pattern of circles and octagons, creating an atmospheric light diffusion. The interior features a white metal reflector and a single socket. The dimensions are 23 cm in width and depth, with a height of 10 cm.
The fixture is in good condition commensurate with its age. The wooden housing has retained its original finish and the metal grid is intact. The wiring is present, as well as the original socket.
This ceiling lamp looks excellent in a hallway, bedroom, or living space with a mid-century modern or Scandinavian interior. The geometric play of light adds a subtle retro accent to the room.
