Product description
A unique Rockabilly ceramic female sculpture/wall mask with a built-in base, made by Brabançon and designed by Tich Vanden Balck in the 1950s.
Tich (Jean-Baptiste) Vanden Balck was a Belgian artist and sculptor who founded a studio in Schaerbeek with his two brothers in 1926. He is known for creating terracotta models for the Art Brabançon series, which focuses on sculptural groups.
This beautiful Belgian retro head bust depicting a girl wearing a red polka-dotted headscarf has that sought-after 1950s look.
This miniature terracotta wall decoration is glazed in various colors and hand-painted for a finish. It is marked on the back (see photos).
This female sculpture is 28.5 cm long, 13 cm wide, and 7.5 cm deep.
