DESCRIPTION:
A unique Oriental Dining Table / Bohemian Dining Table. Originates from the 70's when there was a revival of Chinoiserie. This style originated in the mid-18th century when entire castles were filled with Chinese and oriental furniture and objects. So during the 70s this kind of furniture was made and no 1 is the same. All elements are put on by hand, so it always has an artistic touch.
You can clearly see the hand-painted lines creating a nice background and on the bottom beautiful water lilies and birds. The top of the table has a 2nd layer over this where soapstone is used to depict a unique scene. This depicts a noble man with service and several courteous ladies in traditional dress walking around with tea, instruments, fans and lanterns. Over the top is a thick glass plate. In short, a very beautiful piece of furniture for the lover of the Far East.
Chairs are 2 and can and are sold separately.
