A striking vintage Italian chandelier featuring layers of clear, textured glass leaves suspended from a chrome-plated frame.
The overlapping oval glass elements create a beautiful sculptural, ice-like effect, reflecting and diffusing the light throughout the room.
Its elegant layered construction is characteristic of Italian Murano lighting from the 1960s and 1970s and is particularly reminiscent of designs associated with AV Mazzega and Vistosi, however the maker is unmarked.
The chandelier contains four E14 light sockets and is fully functional. It has been tested and is ready to be installed.
Condition
The clear glass leaves are in very good vintage condition overall.
A few elements show very small areas where the exceptionally thin glass appears to have chipped or broken in the past. Due to the irregular texture and layered arrangement of the leaves, these minor imperfections are virtually unnoticeable when the chandelier is assembled and hanging.
The visible chrome chain and fittings are in very good condition. The chrome ceiling base shows some signs of age and wear, mainly in areas that are not noticeable once the chandelier is installed.
