Product description
Mid-century, vintage, "Model #92" stool by Baumann, France, from the 1950's.
Piece is made of beech, with a beautiful bentwood design (see photos.)
Piece is in overall good, original and vintage condition, with some marks, signs of age, some areas of faded color and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure and seat (see photos.) An old mark of use on one side of the stool, on the bentwood under the seat, (see photo), as well as one old mark of use, on one side of the the edging of the seat (see photo.) Note: The finish of the seat has been refinished. The old varnish has been removed, then finished with oil and beeswax (see photos.)
- Piece is solid and stable.
- It has only been gently cleaned, oiled and waxed with respect to its original patina of time.
- A maker's mark is present (see photo.)
