This atmospheric vintage MCM pendant lamp is reminiscent of work by Voss Belysning in Denmark, as well as Louis Kalff for Philips.
This classic lamp features a glass globe with a frosted exterior featuring black dots. The interior is made of white opal glass. A metal dish rests on the lampshade, painted black on the top and white on the bottom.
When the lamp is lit, the light shines primarily from the bottom, but also partly above the metal dish, giving it the appearance of floating.
This MCM pendant lamp is unique and elegant in its simplicity. The light is beautifully diffused and very atmospheric.
The lamp is fitted with a new white cord and ceiling rose. The E27 socket and the glass support are original.
Dimensions:
Height: approximately 19 cm.
Diameter: 41 cm.
This lamp is in vintage condition. There are several signs of rust on the underside of the metal saucer. There's a small stain on the top of the saucer, and a small dent in the rim. The rim of the glass shade is slightly chipped, and there are also some minor scratches on the glass (see photos 10 through 14).
Despite the aforementioned flaws, this lamp is still a beautiful sight.
