Product description
Beautiful 1960s lounge set by De Ster Geldermalsen, consisting of a sofa, a high-back armchair and a low-back armchair. We found the set in Riemst (BE) with the family of the original owners. Their daughter still remembered spending hours on it as a kid — lovely bit of history right there.
The set definitely needed some love: the original fabric was mouldy, the foam had turned to dust, and the lacquer on the teak frames had gone flaky. So we went all-in: new webbing, new cushions, and fresh upholstery in a warm ochre yellow bouclé (Odense) — a little nod to the original yellow tone, and a perfect match with the teak.
The frames were cleaned and refinished while keeping their character intact. Small dents and user marks are still there, on purpose. They simply belong to the story of this set.
The organic lines and the seating comfort are fantastic — both chairs and the sofa have that relaxed mid-century vibe without feeling dated. A rare Dutch design set with a documented past, restored with care and ready for its next chapter. Couch is marked.
