Vintage Maison Regain elm and leather chair, France, 1970s.
The design combines a solid elm frame with a floating saddle-leather seat and backrest, giving the chair a strong brutalist yet warm rustic presence. The cognac leather shows a deep, even patina and beautiful wear that adds a lot of character.
The seat is softly curved for comfort and the open cut-outs in the back give the profile a light, sculptural feel. Perfect around a dining table, at a desk or as an occasional chair in a reading corner.
