Gustave Lorain's original 1930 canvas lithograph. Published in l'Illustration in 1930, this lithograph takes up a key symbol of the Art Nouveau movement: the woman. It is here highlighted through the theme of motherhood. The soft lines and pastel colors add to the tenderness that emerges. It was rewarded out of competition by a gold medal awarded by the society of French artists.
