Lebrillo ceramic bowl made by hand.
Its origin is in Puente del Arzobispo, Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Spain.
The basin is preserved in excellent condition.
The ceramics of Puente del Arzobispo, with a centuries-old tradition, were declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2019.
The production of earthenware in El Puente del Arzobispo has generated such a rich and varied typology that it has made it necessary to classify it into series proposed since the end of the 19th century by different specialists, in order to facilitate its study and cataloguing.
Among the series of El Puente del Arzobispo, the following stand out: the pine tree, the bow tie and the horizontal bands.
In this case, we are looking at a piece from the "Horizontal Bands Series".
