Product description
An elegant vintage armchair by Knoll International, likely from the mid-1970s. The original manufacturer's label on the underside clearly identifies the chair as a Swiss-made piece by Knoll International. The handwritten inscription "12075" is also present; however, it does not allow for a definitive date. The design is characterized by its organically shaped, fully upholstered seat shell. The backrest flows seamlessly into the side armrests and gently embraces the seat, creating a comfortable, almost armchair-like sitting position. An opening between the seat and backrest visually softens the compact form. The chair is upholstered in a finely textured, two-tone woven fabric in dark brown and warm beige tones. The mottled surface lends the piece a particularly beautiful depth and a typical, homely character of the 1970s. The delicate base made of chromed tubular steel with four slightly splayed legs provides an exciting contrast to the soft upholstery. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear. The original textured fabric shows a beautiful, authentic patina and is generally well-maintained. The chrome-plated tubular steel frame is well-preserved and shows only minor signs of age. The original upholstery is no longer optimal due to its age and has lost some of its elasticity and comfort over the years.
