Beautiful wooden box made of walnut with rounded corners. The design has that typical mid-century modern look. It may have originally been a tobacco box, but one of the previous owners placed a purple-blue velvet layer on the bottom, suggesting it was used as a jewelry or trinket box. The velvet layer lies loosely on the bottom and can be removed if you do not wish to have it inside the box. It is a sturdy box with beautiful wood grain and a deep brown color. In very good vintage condition.
