A beautiful piece of Italian Mid-Century Modern / Space Age design.
This is a characteristic ceramic vase by the renowned manufacturer Sicart from Cartigliano (Vicenza, Italy), dating from the 1970s.
The vase is finished in a stunning warm brown, mottled studio glaze with fantastic depth and a silky sheen.
The organic design stands out immediately and fits perfectly into a modern, Brutalist, or eclectic interior. The base of the vase is fully and authentically marked in the clay with the scratched signature 'Sicart' and the specific model number '1626'.
