For sale is a true design classic: the chrome-plated metal shelf "Peter," designed by Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA in the late 1980s/early 1990s. This is the rare and particularly elegant version with a total of six shelves and matching, perfectly fitting glass inserts.
Condition:
The shelf is in very good, well-maintained vintage condition overall and has a beautiful chrome shine. All six glass shelves are completely free of scratches or chips.
One of the metal mesh shelves has a minimal, slight bend. This is hardly noticeable when assembled and with a glass shelf in place; it does not affect the stability in any way. There are a few typical, light scratches on the joints of the chrome side uprights, caused by normal assembly and disassembly. These are mostly hidden when the shelf is assembled.

One metal wire shelf has a very minimal, slight bend. When assembled and with the glass plate in place, this is barely noticeable and does not affect the stability or functionality in any way.
There are a few typical, light scratches on the vertical chrome side frames around the joint connections, caused by normal assembly and disassembly over the years. These are mostly hidden once the unit is fully put together.
