Beautiful vintage IKEA Hestra lounge chair from the 1980s. This low lounge chair features an elegant, flowing silhouette and is crafted from woven rattan/wicker surrounding a sturdy metal frame. Thanks to its ergonomic shape, the chair is surprisingly comfortable and has an airy, natural appearance.
The Hestra was produced around the same period as the famous P3 lounge chair by Tito Agnoli for Bonacina and has a similar sculptural form, but with its own, more flowing profile. A beautiful vintage design piece that fits well in a Japandi, bohemian, mid-century, or modern interior.
The chair is in good vintage condition with normal signs of wear consistent with age and use. The rattan is mostly neat, with a few spots of wear and a couple of broken/loose rattan strands, as visible in the photos. The construction is sturdy. Details
