Product description
This is an antique highback chair re-upholstered with original handmade Turkish Kelim at the rug store we bought it from. So it’s one of a kind.
This big prominent chair that was the perfect centerpiece of my old apartment in Budapest which had a dark library and personal museum of my world travels. This piece is not a natural complement to a Scandinavian design interior. Unfortunately the photos were taken at my new-building apt. in Amsterdam and not it's natual aesthetic setting.
The seat padding and springs are original, as is all the carved woodwork. The seams along the arms are stitched with dark red silk braiding to conceal and accent.
It’s a chair I am not thrilled to part with, but it no longer fits with me here. So it’s time to help it find a new home where it belongs.
