Model 7 was designed by Busquet and produced by Hala in the Netherlands around the 1950s. This table lamp features a matte black lacquered steel base, a chrome-plated, adjustable brass arm that can be adjusted to various positions, and a matte red lacquered lampshade. This lamp casts direct or diffused light and has an E27 socket. Considering its age (over 60 years old), this vintage Hala lamp is still in good original condition with normal signs of wear (see photos).
Height: approx. 45 cm, Lampshade length: approx. 17 cm, Base diameter: approx. 10 cm
It is generally accepted that Hala was one of the first lighting manufacturers in the Netherlands. Around 1932, H. Th. J. A. Busquet became the design director. After World War II, Hala's simple and affordable designs were praised by the Stichting Goed Wonen (Good Living Foundation). In the 1950s and 1960s, Hala became a symbol of the modernist economy.
