Product description
Vintage enameled bronze bottle opener representing the owl of Athena, the ancient Greek symbol of wisdom and prosperity. Made in Greece during the 1980s, this piece is a beautiful example of classical-inspired craftsmanship.
On the front are engraved the Greek letters ΑΘΕ (Alpha, Theta, Epsilon) — an abbreviation of ΑΘΕΝΑΙΩΝ, meaning “of the Athenians.” These same letters were found on ancient Athenian coins beside the owl of Athena.
The surface features rich enamel detailing in shades of brown, orange, green, cream, and turquoise, highlighting the texture and design.
The back is marked “Bronze.”
