A stunning example of early British Mid-Century Modern design, this vintage G-Plan Librenza tallboy chest of drawers, dating from the 1950s, is a beautifully crafted and highly decorative piece by E. Gomme. The cabinet is crafted in richly figured Tola wood, celebrated for its warm honey tones and particularly striking striped, linear grain. The natural movement of the timber gives this piece an exceptional visual character, beautifully complemented by the distinctive brass pull handles. Featuring seven spacious drawers, the tallboy offers excellent storage while maintaining an elegant and relatively compact footprint. The beautifully proportioned form, refined detailing and classic Mid-Century lines make it equally suited to a bedroom, dressing room, hallway or living space.
