Iconic EA 115 lounge chair, designed by Charles & Ray Eames as part of the Aluminium Group, introduced in 1958 by Herman Miller. The design is a beautiful example of Charles & Ray Eames' innovative approach. Instead of a conventionally upholstered shell, the seat is stretched as a single continuous surface between the aluminum side profiles. The high, slightly curved back and low seating position give the armchair its characteristic relaxed posture. This piece is a vintage Herman Miller edition, executed with light hopsack upholstery and chrome-plated aluminum parts. The combination of the warm, woven fabric with the polished metal gives the armchair a particularly calm appearance. The armchair is in neat original vintage condition. The chrome has been carefully cleaned and has a beautiful shine. The base shows some light signs of use. The original hopsack upholstery is neat and intact and shows slight, age-appropriate discoloration from use. An original design classic that, due to its low silhouette and transparent construction, surprisingly takes up little visual space. Dimensions are as follows: height 90 cm, width 62 cm, depth 72 cm. Carefully selected vintage design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship and materials used.
