Handcrafted ceramic ball lamp base, originating from Dong Tam (Vietnam), mid-20th century. An authentic piece, ideal for bohemian, ethnic, or vintage decor.
Symbolic decoration of three different stylized Koi carp in relief against a background of circular waves.
"As a side note, in Asian tradition, the Koi carp is a powerful symbol of perseverance, courage, and success, as it swims upstream to transform into a dragon."
Origin: The Dong Tam label indicates that this is a well-known ceramic cooperative or production center in Vietnam (often associated with the Bien Hoa or Bat Trang region).
Technique: Hand-engraved and glazed decoration (cobalt blue, ivory, and black).
