Two beautifully restored vintage dining chairs. Typical 1950s / 1960s.
These chairs have been fully restored, with both the foam and the upholstery replaced using high-quality materials.
The woodwork has been thoroughly cleaned and given a new finish.
During the restoration, all original screws and other (internal) connections were used.
These chairs with the separate tapered legs are not often offered for sale.
Thanks to the new foam, they are very comfortable and will last for many more years.
The fabric is 'ice blue/grey' in color and easy to clean.
What was particularly nice to discover during the restoration: the original manufacturer!
Until now, the origin of these chairs was unknown, but when the upholstery was removed from one of the backrests, a label appeared (see the last photos).
The woodwork was bent at the firm 'Buighout' in Amsterdam, and they shipped this backrest to furniture factory Coja in Culemborg. This furniture factory moved to North America 35 years ago.
We (naturally) left this original label in place, so it is now located behind the upholstery of one of the new backrests.
