Beautiful 1960s desk lamp, designed by H. Th. J. A. Busquet for the Dutch lighting manufacturer Hala Zeist (marked). Model 145 is a textbook example of the functional, graphic design so typical of the Dutch modernist style. The weighted triangular base is finished with a matte black cover plate that flows seamlessly into the light gray metal shade. The double, articulated arm allows the lamp to be precisely adjusted as desired. The white interior of the shade provides bright, focused illumination.
