Product description
This space age Ufo table lamp has a sandblasted shade that provides a matte non-glossy texture. This finish is typical of quality designs from the late 20th century, loved for its decorative nature. Sandblasting gives the shade subtle diffused light and a luxurious look, where the shade is less translucent but allows plenty of ambient and soft light to pass through. Diffused light prevents annoying glare.
The base consists of a striking metal spiral construction, more visually expressive than common straight or curved lamp bases. The spiral give a sense of movement and dynamism. Lamp types with spiral metal bases were very popular in the 1980s-2000s.
The original shade, wiring and base are in good condition.
This lamp fits well in a retro / vintage interior and is loved for its unique sandblasted shade , design and atmospheric light.
