DESCRIPTION:
A truly unique vintage design pendant lamp. The lamp is made entirely of plexiglass, which forms the structure over which nylon threads are stretched like a spiderweb. The stem and ceiling rose are chrome. The lamp is called the Spiderweb Swag lamp and was designed by Paul Secon.
Paul Secon (July 13, 1916 – February 24, 2007) was an American entrepreneur and songwriter who founded Pottery Barn with his brother Morris in 1950. The lamp was designed for Sompex (a German family business founded in 1948, originally in Soest (the Netherlands) but based in Düsseldorf (Germany) from 1950).
This lamp dates from 1970 and is designed in the Space Age style, which is clearly reflected in the materials used and the experimental design.
In short, a beautiful addition to any vintage home.
DIMENSIONS:
Lamp height: 38cm
Diameter: 23cm
