The Arteluce Le Sphere ceiling lamp, model 2042/9, is an iconic design by the Italian Gino Sarfatti from 1963. This fixture combines the designer's progressive vision with the high-quality production standards of the Italian manufacturer.
The fixture is crafted from white lacquered metal and features nine blown opaque glass spheres that provide a diffuse, atmospheric light distribution. The spheres can be positioned in two directions: upside or downside. The construction displays the characteristic attention to detail, with visible wiring forming an integral part of the design. The original Arteluce label is present, confirming the authenticity of this piece.
The lamp is in perfect condition, befitting its age and use. The original finish has been preserved and the fixture is fully functional.
This sculptural light object comes into its own perfectly in a modern or Mid-Century Modern interior. It forms a striking centerpiece in a living room, dining room, or spacious hallway.
Due to the fragility of this unique designer lighting, dismantling and on-site collection are recommended for the buyer (Belgium, Dendermonde = center point between Brussels/Antwerp/Ghent). Transport via courier is therefore not an option.

Large ceiling lamp model 2042/9 designed by Gino Safatti and manufactured by Arteluce in Italy in 1963. This refined ceiling light is composed of nine blown opaline glass spheres supported by a wonderful painted white aluminum mount and structure. Each sphere is gently held in place by the ring and can be positioned in both directions. Seen from the bottom, the lamp has a stunning layered shape.
Design lamp is in perfect condition. Due to the vulnerability of this unique design lamp, the buyer is expected to dismantle it on location (Belgium, Dendermonde) and arrange for transport.
