Vintage Danish pendant lamp, model 4055, produced by Lyfa. This design dates from the 1960s–70s and is a beautiful example of Scandinavian lighting tradition. The lamp is constructed from multiple rings that diffuse the light softly, creating warm and atmospheric lighting without distracting glare. With its elegant design and timeless appearance, this model is highly suitable as an eye-catcher above the dining table or in the seating area.
The shade has a diameter of approximately 43 cm, offering a generous light spread that is both functional and atmospheric. The understated, geometric design is typical of the designs Lyfa brought to market during this period: sleek, minimalist, and yet exceptionally refined.
Lyfa is one of the most influential Danish lighting manufacturers of the twentieth century. The company was founded in 1903 as Kjøbenhavns Lampe- og Lysekronefabrik and brought countless iconic lamps to market under the name Lyfa. Collaborations with designers such as Bent Karlby and Simon P. Henningsen resulted in some of the most famous classics of Danish Modernism. Lyfa designs are characterized by a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics and are highly popular today among collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide.
