Vintage Danish pendant lamp, model 4055, produced by Lyfa. This design dates from the 1960-70s and is a wonderful example of Scandinavian lighting tradition. The lamp is composed of multiple rings that diffuse the light in a soft way, creating warm and atmospheric lighting without annoying glare. Lyfa is one of the most influential Danish lighting manufacturers of the twentieth century. Founded in 1903 as Kjøbenhavns Lampe- og Lysekronefabrik, the company launched numerous iconic lamps under the Lyfa name. Collaborations with designers such as Bent Karlby and Simon P. Henningsen produced some of the best-known classics of Danish modernism. Lyfa's designs are characterized by a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, and are today much loved by collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide.
