A striking and authentic piece of Czech Art glass from the mid-20th century, attributed to Josef Hospodka for the renowned Chřibská Glass Factory, dating from the 1960s-1970s.
This hand-blown vase is a perfect example of the expressive and organic design for which Hospodka is known. The sculptural, free form of the rim unfolds like a blooming flower, often described by collectors as a "tulip".
The piece was crafted using the Sommerso technique, in which vibrant pink and green glass layers are enclosed within a thick, transparent outer layer. This creates beautiful optical depth and refraction, giving the object a luminous, almost fluid appearance depending on the viewing angle and lighting. Key features
