Striking vintage floor lamp by Combi Lux, produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s. Designer Stanislav Indra, the lamp was manufactured by Lidokov. The lamp features two individual chrome spotlights mounted on a tall chrome central stem with a contrasting black circular base. Both lights can be adjusted in position and angle, allowing the direction of the light to be changed as required. Each spotlight has its own switch and can be operated independently. The polished chrome construction and simple geometric form give the lamp a distinctive Space Age character, typical of Central European design of the period. The lamp remains in good original vintage condition, with minor age-related wear and patina consistent with use. The electrical components and switches were completely changed and restored to make sure the lamp is safe to use today. An attractive and versatile example of 1970s Czechoslovak lighting, equally suitable as a floor lamp, reading light or sculptural accent piece.
