Atmospheric vintage globe by the German brand Columbus Verlag Paul Oestergaard, produced as the well-known Duplex model. Dutch language. The special feature of this type is the dual map display: when switched off, you see a political map with national borders, and as soon as you turn the globe on, it lights up from within, revealing a physical map with elevation and depth relief. This makes it both a decorative object and an atmospheric lamp. The globe stands on a wooden base and rotates in a chrome-plated meridian bracket with degree markings. A transparent 24-hour time ring is located on the top. The lighting works, via a cord switch. On the bottom is the original type plate: Columbus Verlag Paul Oestergaard GmbH, type 40 26 59, 220V, max 15W. Condition: vintage, in good condition with light signs of use consistent with its age. Works properly.
