Vintage cocoon pendant lamp made by Goldkant Leuchten in the 1960s.
The shade, reminiscent of George Nelson's "bubble lamp," was created using a unique technology called "spray-on fiberglass coating," a technique inspired by the silkworm. This explains why the lamp is also known as the cocoon lamp.
The lamp is in beautiful condition with some light age spots typical of this lamp. The wiring and ceiling rose have been replaced.
A true eye-catcher that creates a very pleasant ambient light!
