The history of the maritime wall clock made in Japan
After sailing hundreds of thousands of miles in one of the many cabins of large cruise ships like the Atlantic Ship, this clock is found in the shipyards of the Indian coast for a complete dismantling of buildings. Some parts of these imposing ships are recycled, others scaffolded and the finest things are collected and gathered by amateurs. Like these vintage gems.
These "slave clocks," made in the 1980s in Japan, were all connected via an electrical wire in the boat to the master clock located in the captain's cabin. This set the boat's time each time the time zone changed, timing the hundreds of clocks simultaneously.
The usual marks such as rust spots only add to the charm of this beautiful clock.
