Vintage Chinese silk painting (Gongbi style), dating from 1955. Beautiful and decorative vintage Chinese silk painting (Gongbi style) depicting 2 orioles in a floral setting. The painting is titled Songbirds by the Flowery Brook and dated "Spring of the Yiwei Year". This refers to a specific year in the Chinese 60-year cycle, 1955. The signature is presumably that of Zhu Xinsheng in Suzhou. Framed behind glass in a gold-colored frame. Dimensions: 41 cm wide, 64 cm high, and 2 cm deep. No. 7774
