Description: A unique Oriental cabinet. These cabinets date from the 1970s, a time of resurgence for Chinoiserie. This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and Oriental furniture and objects. Consequently, this type of furniture was produced during the 1970s, meaning no two are alike. All elements are applied by hand, ensuring it always has an artistic touch. The hand-painted lines are clearly visible. It is painted on all sides, including the inside and the top. Gold leaf was also used on the front and top of this cabinet, painted over. Due to the use of gold leaf, the cabinet sparkles when the sun shines on it. Birds and flowers are depicted on this cabinet, and flowers and birds can also be found on the sides. The inside of the doors is painted with flowers as well as grass. There are two compartments: the top one, which formerly housed a TV, and the bottom one with a removable shelf. In short, a very beautiful cabinet for a bohemian or Oriental-style home or shop. Dimensions: Height: 152cm Width: 97cm Depth: 63cm Interior width: 83cm Interior depth: 53cm Height top compartment: 65cm Height middle compartment: 13cm Height bottom compartment: 40cm (with removable middle shelf) Condition: Generally in good condition. Has a few small spots on the front where the gold leaf is loose. This is securely attached over the rest of the cabinet. One spot on the side has been touched up. Some small spots touched up here and there. (See last photos for a better idea of the condition) Pick up or Delivery: This item can be picked up in the showroom but can also be personally delivered throughout the Netherlands and abroad. Within Amsterdam, this is charged at €40; outside Amsterdam starting from €40 (Ask for a calculation). When delivering, an individual appointment is made and good service is provided, including placement at the desired location with a smile. If this product is rejected due to hidden defects or incomplete information, no costs will be charged and you will receive a refund.
