DESCRIPTION:
A unique Oriental cabinet. These cabinets date from the 1970s, a time of resurgence for Chinoiserie. This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and Oriental furniture and objects. Consequently, this type of furniture was produced during the 1970s, and no two are alike. All elements are applied by hand, ensuring it always has an artistic touch.
You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even the inside. These paintings depict traditionally dressed ladies, created with soapstone and mother-of-pearl, wandering through a landscape featuring temples and plants. Similar figures have also been applied to the interior using soapstone. Bamboo paintings have been created on the lower doors and the top.
The upper cabinet space was formerly where the TV sat, and there is an extra shelf above it.
The lower cabinet space features a removable shelf in the middle.
In short, a beautiful cabinet for an Asian or Bohemian interior. Height: 158cm

Height of lower cabinet space: 48cm (there is a removable shelf in the middle)
CONDITION:
Generally in good condition. Some paint damage has been touched up here and there. A small piece of soapstone is missing from a few figures, as is the case with the middle temple. The top has some scratches. There are also some scratches here and there on the sides and front; these are more visible in the photos than in real life. (See the last photos for a better idea of the condition)
PICK UP OR DELIVERY:
This item can be picked up at the showroom in Amsterdam South but can also be personally delivered throughout the Netherlands and abroad. Within Amsterdam, this is charged at €40; outside Amsterdam starting from €40 (Please ask for a calculation).
When delivering, an individual appointment will be made and good service will be provided, including placement at the desired location with a smile.
If this product is rejected due to hidden defects or incomplete information, no costs will be charged and you will receive a refund. Should you decide to cancel the purchase for other reasons, returns will not be accepted.
WELCOME TO THE SHOWROOM: You are welcome in the 500m² showroom in Amsterdam South, opposite the UMC hospital. It is easily accessible by public transport as well as by car. It is located directly next to the A10 (ring road). The showroom is situated outside the environmental zone. Free parking for customers on the premises.
