Vintage ceramic wall plate lilac sunflower Fat Lava designed by Jan van Erp in the 1960s.
This vibrant flower is a handmade ceramic wall plate depicting a stylized sunflower, crafted in the distinctive Mid-Century Fat Lava style of the 1960s.
The flower features a deep, glossy lilac or purple flow glaze on the petals and a center displaying bright, volcanic yellow and black accents.
These objects are often manufactured at the famous Jan van Erp Pottery in Waalre, the Netherlands.
It is referred to as "Fat Lava" due to the thick, textured glaze layer reminiscent of solidified lava.
The wall plaque is 26 cm long, 25 cm high, and 2 cm thick and is in good vintage condition.
