This piece is the work of Belgian ceramic artist Yvette Manoy and perfectly embodies the prestige of the Namur art workshops. The thick earthenware tile depicts a magnificent ram. The animal is rendered in a luminous saffron yellow with subtle relief. Its large, twisted horn is enhanced with a vibrant turquoise glaze. The deep black glazed background, typical of the artist's technique, is structured by a delicate black and white graphic frieze. The reverse of the tile is a treasure trove for collectors: it reveals the engraved signature "Y. Manoy," the mark of the Namur workshop "Houard," and a period dedication dated March 25, 1968. The tile is equipped with its original wire wall hanger. The glossy glaze and expert firing technique create a striking color contrast that intensely captures the light.
