Offered for sale: A stunning and rare vintage ceramic Foo Dog (Chinese temple lion) by the renowned Spanish design house Bondia Ceramicas (Manises/Valencia region). Produced in the 1960s or 70s. This Hollywood Regency style object is crafted in a beautiful cream-white color with a very refined, thick crackled glaze finish. It is the male variant, resting its paw protectively on a ball. Unique detail: The original paper 'Bondia' factory label is still intact on the front of the base! Origin: Spain (Signed Bondia / Manises) Period: Mid-Century Modern / 1960s-1970s Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No major cracks or missing pieces. The photo shows a small chip (piece of glaze) missing from one of the bells around the neck. Because the shard underneath has a similar light color, follows the crackle lines, and is located on the back, the damage is fortunately not immediately noticeable from a distance. A beautiful collector's item for lovers of exclusive vintage ceramics and eclectic interiors. Preferably pick up due to the fragility of the ceramics. Shipping is possible (very carefully packed), but at the buyer's risk.
