Product description
This beautiful, small oval brass frame in Florentine style was likely made in Italy around the 1950s. It contains a print by Madame Brillon de Jouy (1744-1824). She was a neighbor and friend of Benjamin Franklin when he lived in Passy, France. Madame Brillon played the harpsichord and composed her own music. Brillon's most famous composition, "Marche Des Insurgents," celebrates the American victory over the British at Saratoga in 1777. This print is a reproduction of a painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806). The frame does not have a glass plate for the print and cannot be opened at the back. If you wish to place your own print or photo in the frame, you must glue it to the front. There is a small hanging hook on the back of the frame for hanging it on a nail or screw. Height: 13 centimeters Width: 10.5 centimeters Depth: 1 centimeter
