Offered for sale via Whoppah: a beautiful and characterful piece of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. This is a Brutalist ceramic vase / art object, designed by master ceramist Aldo Londi for the renowned Bitossi Ceramiche (Italy, 1960s).
This unique, architectural object immediately stands out due to its robust design featuring characteristic upright fins on the sides. It is executed in the world-famous 'Rimini Blu' color scheme. The deep, vibrant turquoise and cobalt blue glaze layers alternate brilliantly across the heavy, hand-stamped geometric relief.
Perfect for use as an exclusive vase for dried flowers, as a sturdy plant pot (cachepot), or simply as a powerful, sculptural design statement on a sideboard.
The interior and the base ring display the characteristic, rough reddish-brown terracotta clay that confirms the authenticity of this Italian craftsmanship.
