Designed by renowned Czech designer Robert Slezak and manufactured by Slezak Factories, a unique Czech furniture brand specializing in chrome and bent metal furniture. In perfect original condition, the upholstery has been professionally cleaned and its polish revived by our refurbishment team in Czechoslovakia. The chrome parts and upholstery have just been professionally cleaned. Sold individuallyThis item features classic Bauhaus design elements. The elements of this style are neutral colors, and occasionally bright primary colors. Bauhaus designers avoided fussy and pretentious elements, instead seeking clean, modern lines. Perfect for a timeless, modern look. Learn more about the manufacturer: A trained locksmith from Bystřice pod Hostýnem, in 1908 he founded a small locksmith shop in his hometown for everyday locksmith products, furniture and building accessories, the so-called Slezák factory. The workshop expanded rapidly, production was first extended to popular brass fittings, and a new technology of galvanic plating was introduced in the new premises. In 1911, he was one of the first manufacturers to offer galvanic coating of copper, nickel and chrome on the surface of products. From 1913, the production of metal chairs and brass furniture began, including beds, tables and chairs in his own designs in a combination of metal and wood.
