Product description
This elegant cascading chandelier is a rare French design from the 1970s, attributed to Parscot (Paris)—a renowned manufacturer of mid-century lighting. An identical model with a Parscot label has been documented on a French collectors’ forum, and based on the construction, proportions, glass pattern, and overall design, this piece is almost certainly from the same production.
The lamp features seven textured glass globes arranged in a sculptural vertical composition, suspended on slender metal rods from a compact ceiling canopy. The interplay of different globe sizes creates a striking architectural rhythm, making this chandelier a true statement piece for dining rooms, stairwells, lofts, or high-ceiling interiors.
The glass globes appear to have been very lightly tinted in the past; over time the color has faded and they are now largely transparent, with the decorative external texture remaining clearly visible. This gives the lamp a soft, airy presence and a warm, atmospheric glow when illuminated.
All brass elements are in good vintage condition. As expected for an original piece from the 1970s, the brass shows small dark patina spots in places. These have been intentionally left untouched to preserve the authenticity and character of the lamp.
The chandelier is fully functional and ready for installation.
