This original sideboard from the 1960s combines functional design with the warm elegance of the Mid-Century Modern style.
It was manufactured by PGH Raumgestaltung in Altenburg, Germany. The original manufacturer's label inside is intact, documenting its origin and model S 491.
The body is made of spruce and beech and finished with high-quality sapele veneer. The vibrant grain and warm honey to reddish-brown tones give the piece a timeless appeal.
On the left is a smooth-running sliding door, behind which lies a spacious compartment with a shelf. On the right, four roomy drawers with elegant, original wooden handles offer ample storage for dishes, linens, documents, or decorative accessories.
The slender, tapered legs give the sideboard its characteristic lightness and make it a versatile piece of furniture for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, or offices.
