As the son of celebrated artist Paul Kingma, Marcus grew up surrounded by the raw materials, sculptural forms, and architectural language that defined his father’s iconic work. Inspired by that creative environment, he developed his own approach in the 1980s and 1990s, shaping tables that echo the Kingma legacy yet speak with a voice distinctly his own.
This particular piece embodies the quiet strength and timeless presence that Kingma tables are known for. The concrete top feels monumental and serene, softened by the intricate inlays of slate, stone, and brass.
