Important set of colored cut crystal glasses and a decanter by Val Saint Lambert, Belgium, 1950-1960.
A superb double-layered and cut crystal service comprising a large liqueur decanter with its original stopper, as well as six glasses in a variety of luminous colors: olive green, emerald green, cobalt blue, pink, and ruby red.
The set perfectly illustrates the expertise of the Belgian manufacturer Val Saint Lambert, with remarkable geometric cutting combined with deep and refined colors. The slender silhouette of the glasses and decanter lends a highly decorative elegance, typical of high-end creations from the mid-20th century.
The decanter features a superb faceted stopper and an elegant gradient of clear and ruby red crystal. It is engraved with the signature “Val Saint Lambert.”
This set makes an exceptional decorative piece for a refined table setting, an Art Deco, Mid-Century, or contemporary interior.
Condition:
Very good overall condition with slight signs of wear consistent with age. Note: one glass has an old crack that has been repaired/restored, visible in the photographs. No other significant cracks or chips were observed.
