A rare and highly decorative vintage ceramic vase from Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden. This is model 102 from the "Star" series, a design attributed to the renowned Swedish designer Ingrid Atterberg.
The vase likely dates from the 1940s or early 1950s and is marked "EKEBY 102" on the base. The blue and white decoration with incised and relief star and floral motifs is particularly beautiful. The glaze displays a vibrant horizontal brushstroke in various shades of blue and is very typical of Swedish ceramics of this period.
A wonderful collector's item for lovers of Scandinavian design, Swedish Modern, Mid-Century Modern, studio pottery, art pottery, and high-quality vintage interiors.
