Illuminate your space with a touch of history with this unique vintage ceiling lamp by Philips, dating back to the 1970s. Featuring the iconic Philips branding, this lamp is a collector's item that embodies the innovative spirit of its era.
This exceptional and iconic Philips neon sign is made of polycarbonate (plexiglass) and was supplied to commercial customers for promotional purposes in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The neon sign has been preserved in excellent condition and is now extremely rare.
Even without the light source turned on, the object is a beautiful eye-catcher, but with it switched on, it truly shines, both literally and figuratively.
The sides of the neon sign are identical, ensuring the Philips brand is clearly visible from any position in the room. The top and bottom are unprinted, ensuring ample light intensity throughout the room.
The neon sign has a pull-rod suspension (original), allowing it to be hung at various heights by a shop owner, for example, in their showroom.
The maximum extendable height of the pendant is approximately 1.30 m—excluding the height of the light box itself, which is 31 cm—allowing the bottom of the neon sign to be suspended up to a maximum of 1.60 m from the ceiling.
The installed light source is a 9.5 W LED lamp. By optionally connecting an LED lamp with a dimmer remote control, the light intensity can be adjusted to match the overall ambiance of the room.
Even with the light source installed, it is—as the photos show—a beautiful lighting object.
