A beautiful and authentic antique silver perfume bottle.
This charming bottle is made of silver and is in beautiful, weathered antique condition with a lovely patina that adds extra depth to the details. In complete condition, including the original cap. The bottle has deliberately never been polished, giving it a beautiful, authentic dark patina, which is just as important for its value and for the collector.
Features and details:
Material: White metal/Alpaca (silver-plated). (To test silver, perform the magnet test. Hold a strong magnet against the bottle. Real silver is not magnetic, and a vinegar test was performed; real silver hardly reacts.) Inside the bottle, you can see white metal. If you see this, the underlying material is indeed silver-plated white metal.
Design: Classic melon/pumpkin shape with deep vertical ribs and a refined beaded rim around the neck.
Bottom: The base is very beautifully designed as a stylized flower or rosette. Closure: Authentic pull-tap cap (insert cap), indicating an early dating. The cap fits snugly.
Condition: In good antique condition with a beautiful characteristic patina. No major dents or defects. Has always been kept in a cabinet.
Dimensions: Length 3 cm and width 2.5 cm
A fantastic item for the collector of antique silver, Victorian trinkets, or historic perfume bottles.
